Perhaps one of flightsim’s most longed for regional airliners, the ATR 72, Milviz announced that they would be taking up the challenge of bringing the aircraft into our sims way back in March of 2017. Since then, it hasn’t been mentioned very much aside from Milviz’s “Flying with the Boss” back in May 2017 and a preview of the external model earlier this year in March (which I just noticed we forgot to report on..oops).  Today, we now have a new preview of where all the magic happens; the cockpit!

Do bear in mind that the aircraft is still a major work in progress and many things still haven’t been completed, or even started, yet.

Since I’m already showing off the VC preview, here’s a preview of the external model that Milviz shared back in March.

That was all that was shared for now, but the aircraft looks to be taking shape nicely and we can’t wait to see more of it in the coming months as more progress is made. When Milviz has more previews to share, we’ll be sure to get them to you as soon as possible!

This will be released soon probably… like the king air! 🙂

Looking good. Given how hard it is to model turbo props in P3D I won’t be holding my breath just yet for a near future release.

You’re definitely right about it not being anytime soon, last time they were asked Milviz said 2 years at least.

Maxkillers “Maxkillers Gaming”

That will be a day one buy, I love commuter’s especially turbo prob ones, and what’s better is that Milviz is making it

Looks good. I really hope they do the ATR 42 as well, because it would definitely make this a complete product.

I’ll believe it when i see it for sale. I see the 42 is a “recent” announcement… given the 72 was announced over a year ago and they are still saying (as per moore) 2+ years out on that, i wouldnt hold my hopes up for anything

They will indeed do a 42:

@lol did they announce that officially? I know there was a poll on one of their Facebook posts asking if they should do it, and it was an overwhelming yes.

they wont.

boring. its too big and fat. we need the good variants. not those bloated props that want to be jets.

i loathe majestic for their choice of the 400 too vs them redoing the earlier one.

Remind me….is this for xplane or P3D?

John Moore

I’ll rectify that now, really sorry about that!

Thanks John Moore. Usually the article is tagged with the corresponding platform but for some reason this one was missing it. Appreciate the quick reply.

FSX and P3D, with the X-Plane version up in the air. Here’s the latest on the X-Plane version courtesy of Milviz: “about that… not sure this will happen… we will see. No promises”
