Boundless Simulations Shares Final Shannon Airport Information Before Release

Scenery developer Boundless Simulations has confirmed the final feature list for the upcoming release of Shannon Airport for X-Plane 11. Whilst the release is still a couple of weeks away, the team are confident that the product will come packed with features X-Plane 11 users will appreciate when they install Shannon Airport (EINN).

It is confirmed that the product will be based on the current taxiway and apron markings and include photorealistic PBR texturing and detailed modelling to bring the airport to the simulator. Whilst the airport will be full of detail, Boundless is also putting effort into the surrounding area with crisp HD orthophotography, custom terrain and also HD custom buildings in the immediate area. The team has also said that animated vans and golf carts will also be part of the package. Despite all of the features listed, the team said that the airport will feature “excellent FPS.”

A selection of previews was also shared, but many are the same as what we’ve shared previously.

Whilst the news of Shannon Airport for X-Plane 11 is welcome, the team confirmed to FSElite that there will be an “exciting announcement to come soon” with regards to their development expanding.
