X-Plane 11.30 Officially Released as Stable

Laminar Research has finally released X-Plane 11.30 as a stable platform for users to enjoy. After numerous beta testing periods and release candidate testing, the Release Candidate 3 (rc3) has been approved as the stable version of the simulator. The news was confirmed directly from the developers between a private message between our friend Belgeode and the team at X-Plane 11.

Version 11.30 brings a wealth of new features with it including new ATC voice sets, the particle effects for aircraft (including contrails) and a bump in aircraft panel resolution for 4K. Furthermore, there are some new UI options, an improvement on autopilot and aircraft systems and also the introduction of neighbourhoods.

If you’re looking to update, open up the X-Plane installer and click on ‘Update X-Plane’. It’s worth noting that X-Plane 11.30rc3 is not available via Steam just yet – the update is only ready for those who bought directly from Laminar Research.

The full changelog and release notes can be found on the X-Plane 11 development blog.
