UK2000 released their next airport scenery for X-Plane 10 and 11, this time it’s Aberdeen. As usual the assets in this package origins from FSX/P3D platform. Assets like custom taxiways, grass, signs, buildings and Autogen safedock. As well as X Plane spill lights.

Aberdeen airport is in Northern Scotland and opened in 1943 to link it with London. It became a RAF Dyce, during World War II. Lots of fighter aircrafts had their home base at this airport for bombing protection. Sadly it got hit by a bomb by the Luftwaffe in mid 1940 with no damage.

Today Aberdeen has transformed, world’s largest commercial helicopter airport thanks to the oil in the North Sea. In the future Aberdeen will receive a runway extension for long haul aircrafts but for now lets enjoy the screenshots below.

This scenery is yours for only 16.99 GPB and is available to buy at UK2000’s website. Also make sure you make a visit at UK2000’s Facebook page for latest news.

  1. “Sadly it got hit by a bomb by the Luftwaffe in mid 1940 with no damage.” That sounds more lucky than sad 😉
