TrueGrit Virtual Announces Eurofighter for DCS

In their weekly newsletter, Eagle Dynamics, the editor of DCS, has announced that a brand new company called TrueGrit Virtual Technologies is developing a Eurofighter Typhoon for DCS. This new company is led by Mr Gero Finke, a former instructor pilot of the German Air Force who has 15 years flying experience on the aircraft. His team is backed by experienced developers who are recognized experts in their own domain, totaling 15 persons at this time.

Not much has been said further on which exact Blocks were planned for the Typhoon, although it will probably be based on the capabilities of the German Air Force. The screenshots, that you will find below, only showcase air-to-air weapons and a very high level modeling and texturing already. No released date has been mentioned either.

The Eurofighter Typhoon is a joint program between Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy and Spain, currently in service with these 4 countries and which has been further exported to Austria (who will withdraw them from duty in 2020), Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Oman. Qatar has also ordered aircraft which deliveries will begin in 2022. Among standard capabilities that are common with this generation of aircraft, the Typhoon is notorious for its “supercruise” ability, meaning it can cruise at supersonic speeds without the use of afterburner.
