Rumour: Captain Sim 737 Classic in Development for P3D

Chrome 2021 03 17 12 13 09

It is looking likely that Captain Sim is currently developing a 737 Classic series for Prepar3D v4 and Prepar3D v5. A brand new product page has been discovered on the Captain Sim website which indicates that they are bringing the 737-300 BASE Pack for the simulator. The store page indicates various features if this is indeed happening.

On the product page, it states that the aircraft product would come with high-resolution textures, predefined cockpit states and functional systems such as LNAV, VNAV and EGPWS. Captain Sim’s product page for the 737-300 BASE PACK also says the product will come with an authentic sound set, a fully detailed 3D cabin and numerous equipment options to make your 737 suit your preferred airline. The aircraft, if it is indeed real, will come with various liveries, a complete manual (free) and access to a repaint kit. However, whilst the product page is visible, it is missing any screenshots and is instead populated with some from the 767 Captain II for Prepar3D.

Screenshots of the webpage in case it gets removed.

At the bottom of the supposed product page, it says that the 737-300 BASE PACK would be available in early access as a public beta. This will be a similar tactic to the release of the 767 Captain II.

Going to another page on the Captain Sim website, there is also a list of expansion packs that could also be in development for the 737-300 BASE PACK. They include the 737-400, the 737-500, 737 Freighter and the 737 Wireless CDU.

Again, to be clear, this is not confirmation that Captain Sim is developing a 737 Classic for Prepar3D, but it certainly is a strong indication that this could be a real product. There are also various links throughout the product page which also indicate a 737 Classic series is upcoming from Captain Sim. We’ll keep a close eye on the product page for any further developments or future confirmation.

You can check out the product page now, but keep in mind that some of the links are broken.

Thanks to Gold787FlightSim in our Discord for the heads up.
