A new challenging airport enters the market as Pilot Experience Sim releases their La Môle-Saint Tropez (LFTZ) scenery. Pilot Experience Sim’s rendition of this quirky destination has a plethora of features:

  • New 2018 AFCAD
  • HD textures
  • HD runway and taxiways
  • Realistic buildings
  • New helipads
  • Surrounding photoreal scenery
  • Updated mesh
  • Added floodlights
  • ORBX FTX Global + Vectors compatible

LFTS Pesim 2018 is available on the Simmarket store for €14.00 and is for P3Dv4 only.

It does not look bad and I don‘t want to say something not nice. But some are really off with their pricing. It is a little airfield and the quality is really not on par with most payware. And they want 14€ anyhow. For 2-3€ more we get fully loaded high quality sceneries… I really would be interested in how many people end up buying sceneries like this.

“HD rwys and taxiways” Dude I like the idea of cheap GA airfields but seriously FSDT’s dakar is only 16 bucks… Same FRVFR quality, not bad, but not outstanding either.

Did you delete my answer now?

No, it just got caught in our anti-spam filter due to the number of links

I’ve seen the whole drama only now. Has anyone noticed those black outlines of the terminal interior and the departure board showing a flight to New York? Or those black chairs on the planespotter terrace that look as if the developer forgot to texture them? Or those quirky pitch-black lines on the apron? Just awful…

A new low point in payware development, I would say. This must be a joke (just look at the surrounding terrain), and I think such “even for freeware, this looks bad” sceneries shouldn’t get that much publicity here.

@Calum: I used your contact form which I believe is the right place to go for such matters? If not, I’d recommend you to update the “contact”-page on your website.

@Calum, the only freeware I remember being covered is Mühlheim from Christian Bahr. It certainly deserved to be covered as Christian is a great freeware developer but it shouldn’t be the only one.

This is for example one I wrote an email about back then (admitted it has been a while):

Here are some more recent ones:

Or these are very high quality also:

And has really ever someone complained that you would cover only nice scenery? I mean isn’t that the whole point?

For example this airport here. If it was freeware I would say: Cover it… it might motivate them/him to continue and learn something in the process.. but for 14€… no. This is more scam than anything else.

We’ve covered plenty of freeware in the past. I don’t remember seeing your emails Frank. Have you emailed me personally? Calum at FSElite dot net.

DCTRY includes freeware already so no fear of that.

Yes David H, you’re right that’s typically my answer because it’s true. If Frank has sent me a bunch of emails, then I can only apologise.

I would love to have more dedication to freeware here. Developers also have a responsibility to send it our way as well as us looking for it.

As for SimMarket stuff, it’s an impossible win for us. We cover it “oh you must profit from each sale”. If we don’t “FSElite only cover nice looking scenery.”

Happy to learn as always

@Frank Welcome to the club. Happened to me as well. But soon they will answer here: “We honestly want to cover it but we can’t be everywhere. We need your help.”

Good Freeware will not be published over here. Doesn’t make any money unless it’s sold via simMarket. 😉

I’ve send them emails about awesome and free stuff countless times, they never published anything.

This is what I am always saying. As long as it appears on Simmarket, it will appear here. No matter how bad it is.

Look for example the Nosy-Bé Freeware, that appeared and I made them aware here. Anyway, no news. And this is hundred times better than this or the South African Payware that got posted here recently also. Everyone who can place a few default objects and make an AFCAD wants 15 EUR these days.

And that is also my fear for DIRECTORY. Bad Payware will appear and good freeware will not have a place.

The aerial/sat image doesn’t match the surrounding terrain and isn’t aligned with the underlying base. Honestly its something you can cook up with photoshop, 3dsmax and mcx within a day or two. I do not want to call the developer lazy because it can be lack of skill but them repeating ground textures…. you’ve got to be joking to charge for this. I do not want to come across as a hater but i believe in credit where its due.. Practice more and then start charging there could be potential.

Looks more like a freeware airport in my opinion.

Maxkillers “Maxkillers Gaming”

It actually hurts the eyes… I pass on those lot…

14E for a bad quality freeware scenery… pressing on.

Good luck.
