Scenery developer, Paulo Ricardo, has released Rio de Janeiro-Santos Dumont 2020 for Prepar3D V4. This scenery includes a highly detailed rendition of Santos Dumont Airport and the city of Rio de Janeiro. The city of Rio De Janeiro is the second most populous municipality in Brazil and is the capital of the state of Rio de Janeiro. Santos Dumont Airport is one of two airports that serve the city of Rio de Janeiro. The Airport has slot restrictions that allow only a maximum of 19 operations an hour. Azul Brazilian Airlines has the largest operation out of the airport serving numerous cities in South America like São Paulo, Brasília, Navegantes, and many more. The only other airlines to service the airport are Gol Airlines, LATAM Brazil, and VoePass.

Santos Dumont Airport has been recreated in stunning detail with PBR material on both the the buildings and ground. 3D grass and custom rain effects help bring the airport to life next to the sprawling metropolis of Rio de Janeiro. The user has the ability to select either old fashioned “Ctrl+J” jetways or SODE jetways. Paulo Ricardo’s Santos Dumont Airport is compatible with Orbx FTX Global and openLC South America.

The city of Rio de Janeiro is also modeled using custom buildings, custom terrain mesh, and numerous vehicles and static objects placed about the city. The attention to detail and use of completely optimized 3D autogen makes this scenery truly exceptional and has a negligible impact on FPS. One of Rio de Janeiro’s most iconic features, the Cristo Redentor that adorns the summit of Mount Corcovado is included. Below is a full feature list for both the airport and city scenery. Paulo Ricardo’s Rio de Janeiro is available from Simmarket for €18.99.
