Updated [Amendment]: VATSIM UK Announces Large Beta Test of New AFV Codec

Update 16:15z August 19th: We have amended some text below to make it clear that the coverage area is not for the whole of the UK.

Online air traffic flight network VATSIM, has announced a large beta test for their new Audio Codec for the network over on their Facebook page.

The new codec is to synthesize a more realistic audio experience when flying on the network for both pilots and controllers.

The beta test will run from 1300z until 1700z on Sunday 25th August. For those interested, VATSIM UK Live! will be taking place from 0900z-2100z on both Saturday the 24th and Sunday the 25th of August.
