Orbx Releases Whangarei Airport (NZWR)

It’s been a busy day for Orbx. In addition to their sale and Student Discount programs, they also released a brand new scenery package. Designed and created by Alex Goff, Whangarei Airport (NZWR) is now available to download via FTX Central V3 for $32.95AUD. The New Zealand airport is the first North Island airport available from Orbx and requires their North Island FTX pack to function correctly.

Whangarei Airport (NZWR) features over 155sq KM of photoreal scenery, which will blend perfectly with the nearby city and harbor. Not only has the airport been crafted to find amounts of detail, there are three additional helicopter pads around the city to enable you to simulate being a pilot in the Northland Emergency Services Trust (NEST). Due to the size of the airport, only prop aircraft frequent including the Dash-8 Q300, the Piper PA-13 and Cessna 172s. As you’ll be flying low and slow, this is the perfect airport to admire the Marsden Point refinery, Portland cement plant and a detailed city center.

You can see some of the previews above, otherwise, you can check out this link for more.

As previously mentioned, you can grab it now for FSX and P3D for $32.95AUD.

Until January 1st you can take advantage of the 45% discount available on both Whangarei Airport and New Zealand North Island.
