Following a preview thread just the other day, Orbx has released Key West International Airport (KEYW) for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The airport located in southern Florida has a short 5,076ft runway but does bring with it stunning views along the beaches and local resorted. A number of airlines frequent the airport to destinations across the US. This includes American Airlines to Dallas and Chicago, whilst Delta frequents the airport from Atlanta and New York. The airport also sees a variety of private jets and general aviation pilots touchdown on the short runway.
Orbx has included numerous 3D models within the airport including the terminal buildings, the hangars and also various airport objects. Each of which has been given custom textures that meet the latest PBR standards. Furthermore, there is also an extensive range of points of interest scattered around the airport including hotels, local shops and also major landmarks. The team has made an extensive effort to blend the airport with the nearby coast and also the default scenery for a seamless approach.
