Taking to Facebook, the Shared Flight development team provided keen readers with new information regarding recent branding changes and overall product development progress.
For those of you as of yet not familiar with the Shared Flight concept, the platform was originally announced by famed X-Plane developer FlyJSim back in 2019 and is set to provide users a simple to use and centralized all-in-one shared cockpit utility. At its core, the program aims to allow users to experience extensive multi-crew/shared-cockpit functionality across a wide range of addon aircraft via central server connectivity.
Although having remained silent for some time now, the development team indicates that the project is far from dead. Taking to Facebook recently, the developers begin their post by letting community members know that Shared Flight, contrary to previously indicated, will cease to be marketed under the FlyJSim banner, but instead will continue to progress as an independent platform from now on.
Regarding development progress, the team let readers know that a transition to open beta is quite imminent and that interested community members who have not yet taken the opportunity to apply are invited to do so via the following link. Regarding users who have already signed up for the beta, the team indicates that user accounts should already have been created. Access to said accounts will be provided once the program moves into the open beta phase.
As always, we will keep you updated regarding the progress of this highly anticipated and innovative product.
