More Previews of Dreamflight Studios’ Biarritz-Pays Basque Airport

Dreamflight Studios Biarritz (3)

Following on from our range of exclusive imagery for the upcoming release of Dreamflight Studios’ Biarritz-Pays Basque Airport (LFBZ), developer/publisher Flightbeam has shared some new images before it releases later this week. The post on Facebook not only gave us another glimpse of the airport in Microsoft Flight Simulator but also gave us some insight into what the developers think about multiple developers releasing the same airport product for the simulator.

The previews themselves take us deeper into the airport’s many details and layers the developer has included. From the road markings down to the varying types of vegetation throughout, the level of detail here is pretty extreme. Cars are modelled throughout the car park and there are plenty of outer buildings also to give the airport a sense of life. The airport itself also looks modelled with intense levels of detail throughout with the terminals having a lot of attention in particular. The previews also highlight how intricate the ground markings are for the various gates.

It’s no secret that the release of Dreamflight Studios’ Biarritz on Microsoft Flight Simulator comes not long after Pilot Experience Sim has released their rendition of the airport on the same platform. However, that will not impact this release at all. As stated in the post by Flightbeam (who is publishing the scenery), the community will have a choice over the airport they wish to buy for their simulator. “You can settle for average scenery, or you can have the best of the best,” was the words used on the post, clearly referring to the competing product.

Flightbeam went further in the comment section of the post. They said that they fully know that moving forward, we will see a lot more duplication in Microsoft Flight Simulator. With a flood of new developers, there will be airports created multiple times. In the past, Flightbeam would be careful as to “hold back” if they were aware of an airport (or one recently released), but this will no longer be the case. Unless the developer is part of their ‘partner network’, Flightbeam and their partners will push forward with products they think will be beneficial to the consumer. Flightbeam’s post ended with some poignant words, highlighting that, “as a consumer, you will get to have more choices.”

We know that Dreamflight Studios is due to release Biarritz-Pays Basque Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator by the end of the week (or over the weekend), and we’ll do our best to let you know.

I have been an avid fan of Flight Sim since the release of ‘2000 and have developed my love for aviation ever since. I have the knowledge and experience to really deliver an excellent aviation community. Although no real life flying experience, I have a good understanding and always learning more and more.
