Update 09-Jul-19 @ 16:10z: MilViz responded saying that they’re still working on figuring out exactly what systems they can port over from the 64-bit version. There’s still lots of work to do, and will update the community accordingly.

Almost out the blue, MilViz has today confirmed that they are bringing the PC-6 Porter to FSX. After releasing it earlier last month for Prepar3D, the preview post from the team on Facebook show the aircraft in the 32-bit environment. After listening to community feedback, the team have ported the aircraft to FSX with a release “coming soon.”

Outside of the confirmation, no firm details were given at this time. However, we imagine that a number of the features found in the Prepar3D version will find their way into this version. For example, we are assuming that features such as the realistic startup and shutdown procedures will be modelled, along with detailed systems and avionics, and the range of aircraft-specific features such as hotstarts and engine performance. Of course, none of these details are confirmed at this time. What we can say for certain is that features such as TrueGlass and RealLight will not feature as they aren’t available for FSX.

We have reached out to MilViz to seek clarity on what users can expect from the port.

If you own Prepar3D V4, you can check out the product page for the MilViz PC-6 Turbo Porter. It costs $39.99 to get your hands on it.
