At the end of 2018, John V from Orbx gave a lengthy overview of what the community could expect in 2019. Being only two weeks into the year, we’ve already had a couple of Orbx airports released and now some further tid-bits regarding TrueEarth products in North America has been shared.
In the original post, John confirmed that the first North American TrueEarth product would be the Pacific North West. That region would be released in 3 parts: Washington State, Oregon and the Vancouver BC area (providing Orbx can license the ortho for it). The new information from the forums sees John provide some new timelines for releases. It is expected that Washington will be done for May/June and Oregon will follow in July/August.
Following on from the release of PNW TrueEarth, the team will focus on Northern and Southern California. Continuing with America, John confirmed they will explore East Coast for TrueEarth technology in 2020.
It was also confirmed that further TrueEarth regions for Europe will be focused on in 2020.
Currently, TrueEarth is available for both X-Plane (Great Britain South & Central) and Aerofly FS 2 and Prepar3D V4 (Netherlands). You can also view a bunch of screenshots of TrueEarth GB South for P3DV4.
