Aircraft designer and X-Plane newcomer, DeltaWing Simulations, has released their first aircraft development, the F-16C Block 52+ Airshow Edition.

The General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon first entered service in 1978 with the United States Air Force. Throughout its production run, there have been over 4,600 produced in at least 20 variations, eventually being manufactured to this day by Lockheed Martin.

The F-16C Block 52+ model is identifiable by its Conformal Fuel Tanks above the wings that run along the fuselage. These fuel tanks give the F-16C extended range but with less aerodynamic drag compared with traditional external tanks. This frees up hardpoints for weapons under the wing as well as improving the effectiveness of the fighter in theatre. The F-16C Block 52+ is in service with airforces across the globe including Poland, Pakistan, Greece, Egypt and Turkey.

DeltaWing Simulations has recreated the F-15C Block 52+ for X-Plane in an ‘air-show’ configuration which although will not contain any weaponry, users can choose from many different loadouts which include wing smokers, external under-wing and CFT fuel tanks as well as a centerline travel pod. DeltaWing Simulations has also created eight highly-detailed, real-world display liveries to choose from, with many more to come in the near future.

The F-16C Block 52+ has been modelled with detail inside and out with 4K textures. The cockpit is equipped with custom HUD with optional helmet-mounted JHMCS HUD, dual pop out MFD units and a 3D modelled pilot with customisable helmet and appearance. DeltaWing Simulations has also included real high-definition sounds, custom lighting and particle system along with a whole host of animations.

To purchase the F-16C for X-Plane, head on over to the X-Plane Store where you can add it to your hangar for $45.00/£34.84/€38.41.
