BetterPushback Updated for X-Plane

The world of X-Plane continues to improve thanks to the hard work of the freeware community. Folks may already know of the free plugin BetterPushback, which is a tool that enables a much better aircraft pushing experience. Hopefully the video above by Captain K-Man gives you a good idea what it is.

The latest version removes the older 32-bit build so now it is focused solely on the modern era of 64-bit. Other improvements include an US-Enlish audio set and has updated to the latest libacfutils which fixes an audio issue for Mac users.

As it’s completely free, there’s no harm in giving it a go if you haven’t already. You can grab it from GitHub¬†here.

Here is the full changelog:

  • Updated to latest libacfutils to fix an audio initialization problem on Mac.
  • Added US-English audio set courtesy of Catstrator.
  • Switched minimum supported OSX version to 10.9.
  • Removed 32-bit build. BetterPushback is now for 64-bit versions of X-Plane 10 and X-Plane 11 only.

The type of thing P3D desperately needs. This type of control over your pushback would be very welcome.
