Jo Erland is known for extremely detailed airport products and his upcoming Brussels Airport looks to be no different. Shared on the Aerosoft forums earlier in the week, Jo shared a handful of previews that continue to highlight just how detailed this airport recreation is going to be for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
The new previews show an extreme amount of detail, including a lot of focus on ground clutter. The photorealistic modelling and texturing look very lifelike. Perhaps some of the most impressive previews are for the interior modelling, with a high-level of detail and plenty of 3D looking passengers.
Further to the new in-sim previews, Jo shared a little bit of insight into how he creates the level of detail we’re seeing. He said that whilst he enjoys creating these objects, they do take a considerable amount of time. Along with that, he shared a few animated images on how these small cluster items progress from concept to final design.
Brussels airport is located in Belgium and is considered to be the 24th busiest airport in Europe in terms of passenger count. The airport is home to Brussels Airlines and TUI fly Belgium, along with various cargo airlines.
You can find out more about the airport’s development on the Aerosoft forums. We’re going to watch this one closely and be sure to keep you updated as we see more.
