XWind Studios has released its rendition of Long Beach Airport (KLGB) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, bringing the historic Southern California airport to the latest version of the simulator with a focus on detail, immersion, and performance.
Located just south of downtown Los Angeles, Long Beach Airport is known for its distinctive Art Deco terminal dating back to 1941, open-air boarding areas, and relaxed atmosphere. The airport serves a mix of domestic leisure routes operated by airlines including Southwest, Delta, and Alaska Airlines, alongside business aviation traffic and limited cargo operations primarily handled by UPS.
XWind Studios says the scenery has been developed from the ground up specifically for MSFS 2024, utilising the latest SDK features while aiming to maintain strong performance through extensive model optimisation and Level of Detail (LOD) implementation.

The scenery includes custom aerial imagery covering the entire airport area, bespoke taxiway signage, realistic dynamic night lighting, and fully modelled terminal interiors. The developer has also recreated a number of surrounding commercial and industrial buildings to better represent the airport’s real-world environment within the Greater Los Angeles area.
Additional features include custom ground support equipment, high-quality optimised textures, and an included GSX profile located within the scenery folder for users of the FSDreamTeam ground handling add-on.
You can buy XWind’s Long Beach Airport now from iniBuilds for £11.99 (excluding VAT).
