Announced a week or so ago on Chewwy94’s live stream, the xPilot client is a brand new client for X-Plane users when flying on the online network VATSIM. xPilot is now available to download if you’re part of the Audio For VATSIM Beta Test program.
If you are part of that beta testing program, then you can simply head over to the AFV webpage, log in using your VATSIM credentials and then download the new client. There is also a quick-start guide for those requiring some instruction.
If you are not part the AFV beta program, then you can head over to the page and sign-up. You will receive an email if your application is successful.
The new client aims to replace xSquawkBox, swift, etc with an all-new client that is simple to use. The project has been lead by Justin in the AFV team, which is run by Simfest members.
Thanks to our Discord user Midds, we have some new images of the client in use.
Once the client is available for full public use, we’ll also be sure to let you know.
