After the release of their popular Keflavik Airport on X-Plane 11, the Xometry Design team are back with a brand new airport announcement. Dipping their toes into the Microsoft Flight Simulator pool for the first time, the scenery developers will be bringing Victorville Southern California Logistics Airport to the sim.
The iconic airport is famously known for storing aircraft from airliners from around the world. The 2,300-acre desert airfield is often seen full of aircraft in various states surrounded by the Californian desert.
The airport itself has no commercial aircraft movements and is used for military and storage purposes. Interestingly, the airport has one of the longest runways in the world, measuring in at over 15,000ft.
Based on the single screenshot we have seen on the iniBuilds website, we can see that Victorville Airport will come with plenty of static aircraft (stored and being ripped apart), along with custom modelled buildings and textures.
No release date has been given, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled and let you know.
