X-Crafts has released version 2.1.0 of its E-Jets Family for X-Plane, introducing a fully functional weather radar system for the first time. The new radar integrates directly with X-Plane 12’s live weather engine, allowing pilots to view real-time precipitation data on both the MFD and PFD. This long-awaited feature adds a significant layer of realism to operations, particularly during challenging weather conditions and approaches.
The update also refines several flight systems and visual elements. The flight director’s pitch guidance has been improved for smoother transitions after takeoff, and new HSI display modes allow for greater flexibility with compass, arc, and flight plan views, now including optional weather overlays. Other fixes include improved EFB stability, corrected night lighting within the cabin, and general compatibility adjustments for X-Plane 12.3.
Version 2.1.0 is available now as a free update for existing customers. You can download it via the Skunkworks download tool.
X-Crafts plans a busy schedule ahead. In 2025, the free E-Jets 3.1 update will add the new weather radar and map improvements, followed by a full ERJ Family 2.0 overhaul built for X-Plane 12. Then, in 2026, the E-Jets Family 3.0 will arrive with major upgrades, including a custom autopilot, improved visuals, deeper systems, and more cockpit animations. The new E-Freighters are expected to be released alongside it.
