X-Crafts is famous for its meticulous recreation of Embraer aircraft for X-Plane. Their latest creation was the E-Jets E170-E195 version 2. As part of that update, CEO Marko Mamula promised the private Lineage 1000, based on the E-190, will be developed.
The Lineage 1000 entered service in May 2007 and to date there have only been 28 delivered which led to its discontinuation in 2019. The airframe was built to compete with both the private jet market as well as the converted airliner market. The Lineage is priced at $54 Million dollars which is similar to the likes of the Gulfstream G600 and the Falcon 7X but has a larger capacity fuselage like the ACJ A319 and 737-700BBJ at nearly $20-$30 million less. The Lineage is decked out with a lavish cabin and is equipped with extended fuel tanks to take the range to 5,300 miles.
In a blog update on the X-Crafts website, Marko provided the community with some detail about the next X-Crafts release along with a plethora of previews. Marko mentions that a recent visit to a real Lineage 1000 where the team could take lots of photos and measurements to help them recreate the aircraft within X-Plane. The post also details some information about the progress of the project. Marko mentions that the team are just finishing some texturing within the cabin to utilise the latest version of X-Plane. Next steps will be to add animations to doors, windows, tables, and blinds, implementing a custom fuel system to allow pilots to fly from London to New York as well as some additional functionality to the EFB. The Lineage 1000 has a set of built-in airstairs to allow the VIPs to disembark even at the smallest airports. Marko has included this animated functionality into the model too.
Although no ETA for the Lineage 1000 has not been disclosed, Marko mentions that he hopes the final functionality will take no more than a couple of months with a race to release the aircraft before he becomes a father. Owners of the full E-Jets family Version Two will be able to install the Lineage 1000 for free upon release. X-Plane 11 and 12 will be supported on all operating platforms too.
