WorldFlight is dawning upon us as the almost week-long adventure around the world kicks off tonight at 2200z. One of the most well-known crews: Simfest, will be streaming the week-long event from their excellent 747 sim.
This year, Simfest will be raising money for Contact the Elderly UK; a charity which aims to bring people over the age of 75 together to prevent loneliness and social isolation. Last year, Simfest raised an astonishing £25,000 and £30,000 the year before that and will be aiming to raise a similar amount this year.
Throughout the course of the week, Simfest will be giving away a huge selection of prizes from a range of developers as well as a vast amount of Simfest cups and pens.
The Simfest team are an excellent bunch of guys and come from across the globe and from a range of backgrounds which includes air traffic controllers, pilots, enthusiasts and even a nuclear scientist. To watch their journey across the globe, tune into their Twitch channel where you can catch all the mayhem that will take place during this coming week.
Donations can be made in three different ways:
- Through their JustGiving page.
- Through their PayPal.
- Or you can text Simf90 followed by the amount you wish to donate e.g. Simf90 £10 to 70070 (UK Only).
