If you are a fan of the G1000 and you use Microsoft Flight Simulator, you will no doubt have heard of the Working Title team. They are the guys behind the freeware modification that helped make the navigation unit much more advanced in the simulator. Now that the team are working on the simulator full-time, there’s an expectation of some impressive features coming from them. Whilst news has been quiet from them lately, we now have a first look at what the team has been working on with the G1000 NXi.
In an early access preview video, the team takes us through some of the new features and improvements. In the video, the team puts the G1000 NXi through its paces on one of the most challenging approaches for any autopilot. Throughout the video, we see the team demonstrate the new VNAV capabilities which includes VPTH capturing, restrictions and more. We also get a preview of the new HSI map on the primary flight display.
We know that many of you admire the work from the Working Title team so we’ll be sure to continue following the progress made by the team. Check out their website to stay updated or to download the latest version of the modification of the G1000 (not the G1000 NXi being previewed).
