We’ve spoken about this team a little before, but we’re pleased to see Wing42 continuing to grow with their updates on their Lockheed Vega 5. The monoplane has lots of history, and now simmers have the chance to fly it themselves in the sim. Although it’s in ‘Early Access’, the developers have proven to be updating the plane frequently. They’ve also managed to win the hearts of the team at FSFX Packages as they have included their Immersion Package effects into the base plane completely free of charge with the latest update.
Further to that, the team have already made an aircraft with a nice range of features already available. These include a customised barometic system, which simulates the static port, pitot tubes and more. Additionally, there’s a full electrical system implemented meaning that voltage flows through the virtual plane and pilots will be able to work with a working fusebox and spares. Digging deeper into the detail, you will find that vibrations are calculated throughout the plane giving unique movement to each dial and panel inside the cockpit. Finally, aircraft states already exist meaning you need to take care of the aircraft if you want to find it in a usable state upon loading the sim up again.
