Scenery developer Windsock Simulations will be returning to Spain for their next project. The capital of Spain, Madrid, is home to one of the largest airports in the country; Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Suárez Airport (LEMD). The airport sees airliners from around the world visit the airport on a regular occurrence bringing leisure and business travellers from near and afar to the Spanish capital.
Windsock Simulations, known for their conversions of Prepar3D scenery over to X-Plane announced the news on Facebook. The plan for the team is to start the conversion in September, whilst working with Maps2XPlane who will support building the mesh files required for the busy airport. The development team will provide ongoing updates over the next few weeks and months whilst development continues, but did say that this is a large airport (3 times bigger than anything else they’ve done), so it will take some time.
In the meantime, Windsock Simulations did share a sneak preview of what to expect from the product.
In recent news, Windsock Simulations released Barcelona XP for X-Plane 11 via Aerosoft and also announced that users can expect an update to the airport software in the next 24 hours.
