[dropcap type=”default”]J[/dropcap]ust over 14 months ago, a small team embarked on a big journey: to deliver high quality flight sim content in a fair and community driven manner. Over the past 14 months, we’ve taken plenty of feedback about what we do well, and what could be improved. During this time, we’ve had amazing support from developers, publishers and of course, the community as well. This support has consistently motivated the team to strive to be the best flight sim media group around.
CHANGE WAS INEVITABLE
Thanks to the incredible team who make up FSElite, we have been able to really demonstrate this through hundreds of pieces of content. Everything ranging from quick news posts and detailed reviews to feature length editorials and video first looks. Our content library is vast and grows each and every day. As a result, we realised we had to change. The blog layout just didn’t suit our purposes anymore with so many avenues of content to appreciate and go through.
With this in mind, please allow me to introduce to you our evolution: FSElite Version 2.0 – a brand new look and feel.
WE’RE FEELING BRAND NEW
We started 2017 with the focus on engaging with our community and FSElite Version 2.0 does just that: we now have a website that looks professional, makes finding the content you love easy to find and the site performs quicker than ever before.
ALWAYS STAY UP TO DATE
Staying up-to-date is easier than before. If you use Google Chrome, and Android device or Firefox, then you may have noticed the request at the top of the page. Simply approving will allow you to receive the latest content direct to your browser or phone. Don’t worry Apple users, iOS Mobile is coming soon (Mac OS X works).
MAKING CONTENT RELEVANT TO YOU
We’ve reconsidered how we deliver information to you making things more relevant to your interests. We have divided previews, deals and offers away from ‘news’ to better suit your interests. As time goes on, we’ll be able to break this down further and cater to your needs. Finding content is easier than ever before thanks to our new menu system and slick home page. You can filter your favourite developer or look at anything to do with aircraft or scenery. The choice is yours.
MORE ENGAGING CONTENT
We’ve introduced our ‘Featured’ reviews to deliver more flexibility in our content delivery. This will provide an opportunity to provide more engaging content with less distraction from the article itself. The more flexibility, the more creative we can be.
We also have a new internal guideline system in place to ensure quality and consistency within our content. This will help you to feel more connected to the content we deliver.
We also have a new Quality Assurance Editor to ensure our articles are the best they can be.
We’ve also introduced our Featured YouTube Community to further enhance the content you see appear in your notification feed.
CURRENT EVENTS
We have a brand new events feature designed to give you important dates to remember as well as express an interest in. Right now it’s a little sparse, but over the next few weeks, expect to see some special events and more appear.

There’s plenty of small features included with FSElite Version 2.0 which is far beyond just a cosmetic look. We’ve got faster, more optimised images, we have better servers and we have flexibility to grow.
Over the next few weeks and months, we’ll continue to add new features and areas to explore. Our Featured YouTube Community will start in just a few days, and we have other partnerships to announce soon.
THIS IS OUR EVOLUTION
We have evolved from a simple blog to a sophisticated website. We’ve been slowly introducing the brand for months now and finally everything is coming together to make for a truly exciting future.
