In a short video posted to Just Flight’s YouTube channel, we are treated to a first look at Black Square’s upcoming Starship for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The two-and-a-half-minute video features the iconic twin-pusher in-flight in MSFS and shows numerous close-ups, panning fly-bys, and detailed shots of the internal and external views. You can watch it for yourself below.
A few highlights of the video include a look at several of the presumably included liveries based on real Starship paint schemes. We also see the variable-sweep canard surface moving to counter the nose-down pitching effect caused by the deployment of the wing flaps. The cabin is also previewed with the six-seat configuration found in the Starship 2000A model.
The video also provides day and night views of the cockpit, showing off the Starship’s one-of-a-kind Rockwell Collins AMS-850 avionics suite featuring no less than 14 CRT displays (the characteristics of which will be simulated according to Black Square). Also shown in the video is Black Square’s tablet interface which will be part of the upcoming release.
No information about release timing has been provided but by the looks of things, this iconic aircraft is progressing well and hopefully will be landing in virtual hangars soon! In the meantime, be sure to check out the Starship’s product page on JustFlight.com for full details.
