The team behind the upcoming Boeing 757 for Microsoft Flight Simulator has shared another preview of their narrow-body jet in action. This time, the team wanted to demonstrate some of the navigation capabilities of the plane, thanks to one of their programming team.
The video in question showcases how the flight management systems flies a DME arc. There’s some variation in the video, but as you can see, it does self-correct to do its best to stay on track. Blue Bird Simulations said, “here’s a video posted by our programmer demonstrating how the FMS flies a DME Arc. I am no programmer but a lot of calculations went into making this happen . Usual disclaimer this is all a WIP.”
There has been plenty of previews so far of the aircraft, but we’re still not expecting to see it land in our simulations until next year at the earliest.
As usual, we’ll keep you updated with any progress.
