Watch Back the Aerosoft A340-600 Trailer, Created in Collaboration with ToLiss

Aerosoft announced that they are working on a new A340-600 for MSFS and confirmed that they are collaborating with ToLiss to bring this aircraft to the simulator. Aerosoft is focusing heavily on the modelling and artwork, whilst ToLiss are bringing their system knowledge to the plane.

When it was announced on the FSElite Stage this weekend, we were quick to share with you the initial information we had. Now, we also have the trailer that accommodates the announcement as direct-feed footage.

Although the aircraft is still in active development, we were shown a feature video which depicted an engine #2 fire after takeoff. Accurate and correct ECAM memos were displayed following the detection of the fire, which the simmer then has to follow to successfully extinguish the fire. We see in the video that after gear up is selected, the engine thrust lever is retarded and the master switch turned off. The fire button is then pushed and, after 20 seconds of fire still being indicated, agent 2 is dispatched. The engine master switch is then switched to “ignition” per the ECAM memos, which brings up another non-normal checklist for an abnormal bleed condition which the simmer must then tackle.

Cross bleed is closed, followed by PACK 1 being switched off and the cargo air conditioning turned off. With sufficient height gained above terrain by this point and auto throttle disengaged, the other 3 engines can be safely spooled down as the aircraft prepares to make an immediate return to the airport.
