Scenery developer VREF Simulations has announced that they are working on Calvi Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Calvi Airport (LFKC) is located in Corsica, France and is one of the more challenging approaches in Europe. Sat at the base of a large mountain range, the airport has a challenging circling approach which sees you fly very close to the terrain. The turbulence from the mountains and forests below can also cause some additional challenges are you try and line up to the runway.
So far details are limited but we do know that the airport will come with full PBR and high-resolution texturing and numerous airport termainal buildings. Three screenshots/renders were shared with FSElite via our Discord to share with the rest of the community. From what has been shared, we can see extensive work on the terminal buildings and placement of various airport models.
Other than that, there’s no further information shared by VREF Simulations for what they have planned for Calvi Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
Caliv Airport would joins the likes of Glacier Park International for MSFS and other airports when it does eventually release.
