Volanta Flight Tracker by Orbx has been updated to v1.10.5. This new update includes several quality-of-life enhancements, features and bug fixes.

Some of the enhancements to Volanta include new icons for several aircraft including the Airbus A350-1000, Airbus Beluga & Beluga XL, Boeing 747SP, Boeing CH-47 Chinook, Britten-Norman BN-2 Islander, Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt, Canadair CL-215, Bombardier Global and more.

Other updates include adding hot airports back to the map, highlighting the top 10 busiest airports on Volanta, countries and territory updates, a tooltip for an estimated time of arrival in local time, new aircraft filters, an option to stop ending flights automatically and more.

You can download Volanta for free from the Volanta website to start tracking your flights as well as a list of other features. You can also upgrade to a premium subscription for even more cool features.

Enhancements

  • Added icons for the following aircraft: Airbus A350-1000, Airbus Beluga & Beluga XL, Cessna 414, Boeing CH-47 Chinook, Saab JAS39 Gripen, Boeing 747SP, 747SR, 747-400D, Pilatus PC-6, Pilatus PC-21, Daher (Quest) Kodiak, Bell B-412, Bell B-406, Britten-Norman BN-2 Islander, Diamond DA50, Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt, Sikorsky/Westland S-61 Sea King, AgustaWestland AW101 (Merlin), Canadair CL-215, Bombardier Global Express
  • Updated the countries and territories database for the countries challenge:
  • Added Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba (TNCB, TNCE, TNCS), Curaçao (TNCC), Saint Barthélemy (TFFJ)
  • Updated: Czech Republic → Czechia, Swaziland → Eswatini
  • Removed: Netherlands Antilles (dissolved into the smaller Dutch Caribbean regions above)
  • The following territories are recognised by the United Nations Geoscheme but were NOT added due to having no airport, seaport or heliport: Tokelau, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, Heard Island and McDonald Islands, Bouvet Island, Pitcairn.
  • The flight list on aircraft pages now features landing rates.
  • Added the dotted line towards the destination for your active flight as well.
  • Added two options to the unflown filter on schedules. You can now choose between the exact flight number or just the origin and destination airport pair when filtering out flights you’ve flown before.
  • Added hot airports back to the map. This feature highlights the 10 busiest airports on Volanta.
  • Added an option in general settings to stop ending flights automatically on engine shutdown. When enabled, you’ll have to end your flights in the app manually.
  • Added a tooltip for local time to the estimated time of arrival on the statistics page of active flights.

Fixes

  • Fixed translation error when adding a flight to the roster from the schedules page.
  • Tooltips over roster flights on the schedules map will now disappear when zoomed out to reduce clutter.
  • Fixed Vatsim ATC ground positions not showing on the map correctly with multiple positions online at the same airport.
