VIRPIL has shared a few new images on their Facebook page of the upcoming CDT-Aeromax flight stick, with a caption suggesting (though not explicitly confirming) that the stick is nearing completion and readiness for release.
The Facebook post from last week shows 3 new snapshots “Just in from [the] R&D department”, with a caption reading that the CDT-Aeromax is “preparing for takeoff”.

The new flight stick was originally announced at last year’s FSExpo in Las Vegas as part of a wider “Cadet series” of products, a new product tranche targeting dedicated simmers at a mid-market price point. VIRPIL has historically been known for their very high quality, metal-built products, and the price tags have tended to reflect that quality in the past – intended for the most “hardcore” of simmers with wallets to reflect their dedication to the hobby.
Accompanying the CDT-Aeromax flight stick in the cadet series lineup will be the CDT-CRRLMAX control panel and CDT-Waypoint pedals. Neither of these two products are out yet, and they are expected to follow later this year.

Addressing comments under their Facebook post, VIRPIL confirmed the new stick will feature a Z-axis “twist” and a stand-alone version of the grip will be made available for the existing WarBRD base. They also hinted strongly at the idea of producing left and right-hand versions of the stick, though did not explicitly confirm.
No further details were shared regarding a release timetable, though FSElite will be bringing that information to you when we have it!
