Danish scenery developer Vidan Designs has announced their Microsoft Flight Simulator development plans. The team has already started development on Billund Airport (EKBI), and others will follow on shortly afterwards.
Billund Airport (EKBI) will be the first release for the new Microsoft Flight Simulator from Vidan Designs, which will then be followed up with Bornholm Airport (EKRN) and then likely Aalborg Airport (EKYT). Whilst this may be the plan from Vidan Designs, the team said they have not yet fully had an overview of the tools and the SDK available to them through the new simulator.
Again, as with other developers, there are still many variables up in the air right now, but the team did say that they expect there to be an upgrade price path for those that picked up those airports on other platforms. However, when the scenery releases in the Microsoft Flight Simulator Marketplace, there likely won’t be any discount available.
