Earlier this afternoon, Verticalsim Studios took to Facebook for a status update on both their Tampa and Myrtle Beach sceneries. Citing an airport market shifting away from regional airports and moving more towards major US airports, Verticalsim Studios will restart work on Tampa International. Tampa International Airport is located 6 miles west of downtown Tampa and features a large array of flights to the United States and Europe. The airport’s largest airline is Southwest Airlines with a 32.68% share of total passengers, operating up to 121 daily departures. In 2018, Tampa International Airport served 21,289,390 passengers. Cargo airlines such as UPS, FedEx, and Amazon Prime Air also serve Tampa International Airport.
Verticalsim Studios’ Tampa International Airport will also include the city of Tampa and the surrounding area. In a previous preview, the immediate area around the airport can be seen along with downtown Tampa. A release date has not been set, however, Verticalsim Studios noted that the scenery should be released either right before or after the Christmas holiday. No more details were shared, be sure to check back soon for more information on Verticalsim Tampa.
