After announcing a release goal of Christmas in late October, Verticalsim has dropped the first round of previews for their upcoming Tampa International Airport scenery for MSFS on social media.
Tampa International Airport (KTPA/TPA) is a favorite for leisure travelers and serves as the primary gateway to Florida’s west coast. The airport is served by almost every major airline in the United States, with Silver Airways claiming the airport as a hub and Breeze Airways and Frontier Airlines claiming the airport as a focus city. In addition to the plethora of domestic services, Tampa International has recently seen an increase in transatlantic service, including Eurowings to Frankfurt and Virgin Atlantic to London. Because of the airport’s convenience, it consistently ranks as one of the top airports in the United States.
In this post, Verticalsim reaffirmed its commitment to getting the scenery out to the public before Christmas. They went on to share some of the most recent work completed. First, the Airport Rescue and Firefighting station has received a complete revamp compared to the X-Plane version and now features an interior and parallax glass. In addition, about 90% of the airport’s signs have been modeled and textured. Finally, the new SkyCenter office building has been completed and also features parallax glass. Overall, these previews look very similar to the real-life Tampa International Airport and provide a good idea of what the flight sim community can expect in the coming weeks.
FSElite will continue to monitor the progress of this scenery and share any updates that may be provided.
