VATSIM has announced it is now compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Thanks to a new update from vPilot, the online network will now support users connecting in a Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 environment.
This update enables users to now seamlessly connect to the network and fly accordingly, but there are a few notes surrounding model matching. Due to how the new simulator streams content, vPilot will not initially support “robust model matching”. As it stands, network traffic is limited to approximately 30 default aircraft models provided by MSFS 2024 itself. That said, VATSIM does recommend using a third-party solution in order to expand the options available.
Another point to consider is that you should avoid using Career Mode whilst connected to the network, as it causes automated frequency changes.
Your version of vPilot should automatically update (or ask you to perform an update) the next time you launch it.
