All European and North American Vatsim event coordinators take note: Airfield Applications are opening on Monday, March 4th at 2000z for Cross The Pond Westbound.
A semiannual event, Cross the Pond sees pilots from all over the world make the trek over the Atlantic. One event sees all traffic head westbound (leaving Europe and arriving in North America) and the second event each year sees the traffic do the opposite.
Departure and arrival destinations vary, but Vatsim controller coverage along the entire route is guaranteed.
Once airfields are nominated, users will have the opportunity to vote on their desired airfields before signing up for a limited amount of departure and arrival slots.
Cross The Pond Westbound takes place on March 30, 2019.
