VATSIM Announces Cross the Pond Eastbound for October 27th

One of the busiest online events for flight simulator fans takes place twice a year. Aptly named “Cross the Pond”, it sees hundreds of people take part in flying either East or West across the Atlantic Ocean to a variety of airports. VATSIM has announced that the annual Eastbound event for Cross the Pond will take place in just over  a month on Saturday 27th October 2018.

What happens now is that a range of airports will be up for vote by the community and those most popular will be chosen as the key airports for the event. So whilst anyone can fly to and from any airport online, the priority will always be those airports. Once that’s decided, slots will be released and pilots are encouraged to book slots to ensure that they are able to fly with minimal delay.

You can see just how busy it gets with this timelapse video below.

Once more information is released, we’ll be sure to let you know.
