VA Systems Updates In-Sim Panel to Add SimBrief Integration

A new update for the VA Systems panel incorporates some much requested features.

VA Systems Updates In-Sim Panel to Add SimBrief Integration

VA Systems has released version 1.4.0 of its In-Game Panel for Microsoft Flight Simulator, which went live on the Marketplace on September 8th. The update is free for existing users, while new Marketplace purchases are priced at $5. However, those linking their account through the VA Systems Dashboard can claim a discount to offset the cost by claiming a voucher for the equivalent amount. PC users can continue to download the Panel directly from the VA Systems website at no charge.

The standout feature in this update is the long-awaited Navigraph and SimBrief integration within the Activities App, first announced during FSExpo earlier this year. Once a Navigraph account is linked, users gain access to a range of new flight planning options.

These include regenerating flight plans using SimBrief, overriding the scheduled aircraft type with supported alternatives, and dispatching flights with custom SimBrief airframes. Updated dispatch pages now incorporate SimBrief data such as fuel, briefing information, and flight plans, which can also be pushed directly into supported aircraft or viewed within SimBrief itself.

Version 1.4.0 also introduces a revamped dispatcher system with clear options: keep the scheduled aircraft, override with a different type, use a custom airframe, or dispatch with VA Systems’ default data. New pages for connections, activities, overrides, and custom airframes aim to make the process more intuitive.

Designed for both PC and Xbox, this update streamlines schedule exploration and flight planning, with VA Systems teasing future expansion, including integration with its upcoming Mini Flight Data Display hardware.

Update Features

  • Use the provided Flight Plan purchased within the Activity Pack (VA Systems Data)
  • Regenerate the Flight Plan using the same Flight Schedule information but with the Users SimBrief account
    • This returns a fresh Flight Plan and replaces the VA Systems Data in the Panel and displays an information bar to advise of this fact
    • The Flight Plan can be viewed in SimBrief as well as pulled down into your aircraft providing the aircraft you’re using supports that feature
  • Override the Flight Plan using a different Aircraft Type than the one scheduled
    • This behaves the same as regenerating, with the only difference being the aircraft of your choice
    • This provides an easy navigation experience to select one of the supported aircraft types to regenerate the Flight Plan
  • Use Custom Airframe
    • Same as regenerating and overriding but instead it pulls down the Users Custom Airframes and allows the User to use that instead
