VA SYSTEMS Launches ‘The Explorer’ to Find Real-World Airline Schedules

VA SYSTEMS has released The Explorer, a brand-new browser-based app that allows simmers to search real-world airline schedules and send flights directly to SimBrief — all without any add-ons, subscriptions, or simulator tie-ins.

The Explorer runs entirely in the cloud, meaning it works with any platform, including Microsoft Flight Simulator, X-Plane, and Prepar3D. Once logged in, users can filter thousands of real airline flights by departure and arrival airports, airline, aircraft type, time of day, or duration. Results are displayed instantly, with the option to dispatch the chosen flight straight to SimBrief with a single click.

For users with a linked Navigraph account, The Explorer also integrates SimBrief features such as custom airframes and route overrides. The system is refreshed monthly to maintain accurate data and real-world alignment.

Rather than a subscription, VA SYSTEMS uses a credit-based model that lets users pay only for what they use. Searches cost one credit per returned row, while viewing a full schedule costs twenty credits. Results are cached for up to 24 hours, so repeat views don’t use more credits. Credit packs start at £5 for 1,000 credits and scale up to £100 for 20,000 credits, with bonus credits included on larger purchases. You can learn more about credits here.

According to VA SYSTEMS CEO Matthew, “Our community asked for a cross-sim way to discover and fly real airline schedules without another subscription. The Explorer gives them the full dataset, deep filters, and one-click SimBrief dispatch — pay only when you actually use it.”

The Explorer is aimed at those who want to replicate real airline operations or add structure to their sim flying. With its fast search, flexible filters, and deep integration with SimBrief, the tool brings a professional workflow to any simulator.
