[Updated] Microsoft Flight Simulator Physical Editions Open for Pre-Order (European Only)

This post was originally published on July 14th, but has been updated with new information.

As announced yesterday, Microsoft Flight Simulator will also be made available as a physical edition. The physical copy will feature everything included in the digital copy (along with the ability to live stream data), but the base installation will come neatly packaged on numerous discs so you can keep it safe. The physical copy is only available to pre-order now from Aerosoft for those living in Europe.

Unlike the digital copy, there appears to only be physical editions for two of the confirmed editions; the Standard and the Premium Deluxe edition.

Both Standard and Premium Deluxe will include all of the aircraft and detailed airports previously confirmed by Microsoft yesterday in their respective editions. However, for the Premium Deluxe edition, the artwork provided by Aerosoft suggests it will include some kind of included book and user guide to help new pilots get accustomed to the new simulator. It is also confirmed that the simulator will be spread across 10 DVD discs*.

Included with both the Standard and Premium Deluxe Edition is a manual which features information on airports and aircraft included within Microsoft Flight Simulator. For those that pick up the Premium Deluxe Edition, there is the “Premium Deluxe Guide” and that contains information and more on the additional airports and aircraft included with the Premium Deluxe Edition. Finally, there is also a poster with key assignments included with the Premium Deluxe Edition.

Whilst the Digital Download will be made available on August 18th 2020, the physical release looks to be releasing just a handful of days later on August 21st 2020.

As for pricing, the Standard Edition will retail for €69.99 and the Premium Deluxe Edition will retail for €129.99. All prices are subject to VAT. As a reminder, these are for European customers only. There’s no word on any North American or Global physical distribution. You will also be able to order via simMarket. The Standard Edition is €60.34 (plus VAT) and the Premium Deluxe Edition is €112.06 (plus VAT).
