Update @ 22:10z
Update @ 22:00z
It appears FlightSimStore are now preparing their servers for the new update.
Update @ 18:35z
A developer from Majestic left this comment on a Facebook post indicating that the issue came down to time zones for their server compared to that of Real Flight Shop’s.
The premature release of the Q400 from Real Flight Shop, I can see being an honest mistake, one that can happen to any person/vendor operating in a different timezone. However, the 23rd of October on the Majestic Software server will be in this case, the 24th of October for Real Flight Shop, apologies for the misunderstanding for all parties involved.
So as previously announced, it will be available for the masses from October 23rd 2017. When it’s officially out, we’ll create a new post.
If you have already purchased it from Real Flight Shop, then by the looks of it, Majestic will honour those who have purchased it.
Update @ 17:00z
Some users who used Real Flight Shop as per our advice below are now saying that their products can now be activated for P3Dv4. User Mark was kind enough to show us some screenshots of the Majestic Dash 8 Q400 inside P3D V4.1.
We are in contact with Real Flight Shop to see what will happen next. The product pages are still unavailable at this point.
UPDATE @ 14:00z
It turns out there may be some problems with orders due to Majestic’s servers. Whilst Real Flight Shop have the installers, it would appear that the activation servers have yet to be switched on.
Edit: Removed images of private conversation as the mess has been cleared up/.
Obviously, we are very disappointed that we, and the community have been a subject to the mistake by Real Flight Shop. They are working to get it resolved soon and we’re pushing to ensure that this is fixed asap.
The product pages have been removed.
We will wait to hear back from Majestic on this matter.
Although out of our control, on behalf of FSElite, I would like to apologise for the confusion.
Original article:
Whilst the release of Prepar3D V4 came back in May, we have waited patiently for aircraft to be ported over. The likes of PMDG were pretty quick at bringing their software over and FSLabs have just released their A320 over. But one aircraft we couldn’t wait to see again was the Majestic Dash 8 Q400. One of the most detailed turboprop aircraft in flight simulation has been teased over the past few months by the developers and they confirmed that from October 23rd, people would be able to download the 64-bit version.
The guys at Real Flight Shop have today allowed users in their store to download the 64-bit version for Prepar3D V4 to download the new update. As it’s October 23rd in their timezone, they’ve been allowed to release the new installers already.
Note, that you can only upgrade if you originally purchased through Real Flight Shop. If you purchased from SimMarket or another store, then you’ll have to wait for them to release the update.
There have been a bunch of new features added to the 64-bit versions including:
+ 64 bit: Compatible with Prepar3D V4.x
+ Free steering simulation is added (using brakes / steering OFF mode)
+ Minor EGPWS mode logic fixes
+ Electrics DC BUS TIE will not close if both DC Gens failed
+ Re-written the Condition Levers mouse interaction algorithm
+ Fixed the incorrect MAP elevation detection on some FMS approaches
+ Max ADF frequency is increased to 1999kHz
+ Added the EXITS page under DATA->SERVICES of the FMSs, to facilitate the operation of the aircraft doors
There has also been the following fixes and updates to the Pro version:
+ Shared cockpit fixes related to some key presses (ARCDU, display controllers)
+ UNILINK data logic changes to prevent a de-sync during Shared Cockpit operation
+ Alternate gear release logic fixes
+ The Avionics page of the MJC84 System Panel is expanded with more failures
+ Network interfaces optimizations for Shared Cockpit
+ Fixed Graphics on the FMS unilink pages
+ Fixes to the failure framework to allow more randomization in the wear-off of different aircraft parts
Now which version of the software you download will depend on which version you have purchased in the past.
If you have purchased the PRO version of the Dash 8 Q400, you will be able to download the update for the PRO version for $22.17.
If you have purchased the PILOT version of the Dash 8 Q400, you will be able to download the update for the PILOT version for $16.61.
If you have haven’t got a copy, you can just buy the Majestic Dash 8 Q400 Pilot Edition 64-bit ($42.74) or the Pro version 64-bit ($64.38) direct from their site. You won’t then have to pay an upgrade fee. You can see the difference in versions here.
Majestic haven’t released an official statement about the release, but we spoke to the owner of the store who confirmed that people will be able to buy the update and install the new version to their PCs.
