Update: It is now available to buy from Flightbeam.
After much anticipation, Flightbeam has announced that the release date for Auckland International Airport (NZAA) for MSFS will be Tuesday, November 9th. The scenery will release at a price of $19.99.
Coupled with the release date and price announcement, Flightbeam has published an impressive set of features. First of all, the modelling and textures are of an incredibly high quality, with hand-made PBR materials. The scenery also features custom static aircraft and custom (Gen-5) Flightbeam Jetways that feature a lot of detail, wear and tear as well as precision guidance. The scenery also features extensive and detailed interiors in several areas, such as the control tower and terminal interior. All these detailed features may make one worried about performance, but Flightbeam ensures good performance by implementing aggressive LOD optimisation. Flightbeam also went ahead of the release and briefly mentioned some future updates.
The scenery will, later on, be updated with VDGS systems at each gate, and another future update (2022) will bring the airport to its updated state, reflecting the construction that’s currently going on.
