Developer PMDG has been busy with a variety of projects, and founder Robert Randazzo took to the internet to post an update on the status of those projects.
737 and 777 Base Package Updates
PMDG has issued updates for both the 737 and 777 base packages. Pushed for FSX, FSX-SE, P3Dv3, and P3Dv4 versions, these updates address a few rare instances where the plane may stop responding to user input, as well eliminating some CTD issues with both products. Users can get these updates via the PMDG Operations Centre.
PMDG 747-8 Update
Randazzo stated that the 747-8 is through the ‘bow wave’ of beta testing and is starting to look like ‘a product that we can start polishing, rather than still doing major construction work’. This is good news for pilots eager to take to the skies in the 748, and Randazzo says that while there are still a few areas that need attention, pilots can catch a glimpse as the beta team has been posting pictures of the airplane in various places throughout the flight sim community.

Randazzo also said that there is a ‘massive update’ coming for the 744. Throughout the 748 beta process, the team continues to find and resolve issues with the 744. Normally these updates would be pushed to users as they are found, but many of the changes are tied to the pending 748, and Randazzo said that users will see the 744 update ‘right before the 748 releases’.
PMDG Operations Centre and Global Operations
The new PMDG Operations Centre is being tested internally and seems to be a big focus of the team. Randazzo said that in the coming weeks, the beta team will start working with the new Operations Centre. Randazzo also said that PMDG Global Flight Operations is very active in internal testing and will be released to the beta team in the coming weeks.
