Update 2: Mathijs has said on the forums that they intend on releasing the CRJ Wednesday 2nd August 2017 before 08:00am zulu.
UPDATE: It is OFFICIAL, the Aerosoft CRJ is planned to be released either tomorrow (Tuesday) evening or Wednesday morning. The final files have been sent for the installer testing.
To quote Hans:
I have sent the final files to AS today. We’re going to test the final installer tomorrow. Release will be tomorrow late afternoon (EU TZ) earliest but more likely Wednesday morning.
Don’t need to wear your F5 keys down, as we’ll update you as soon as it’s released.
Original article –
After years of development, a few lengthy delays and a leaked beta, the Aerosoft / Digital Aviation CRJ is finally on course to be released – and quite imminently may we add.
The Aerosoft forums have been pretty busy lately with developer and beta testers dropping hints left and right about a release coming very soon. Hans said this on the Aerosoft CRJ Preview forums, “I’m getting the strange feeling that the lifespan of thread will reach its end quite soon.” This alluded to the idea that the thread will end as the CRJ will be releasing soon. Further to that, many of the beta testers have mentioned about going on vacation. Obviously intended as a light-hearted joke, but again, pertaining to a release date being close.
As if that wasn’t enough, Frank Docter posted what he called his ‘final shots’ referring to what Orbx usually does before a release of any of their products. You can see the stunning shots below.
Finally, when asked “is it actually happening this time for real?”
I fear you’ll have to wait and see. But I can tell you that, while I love to troll moderators, beta testers and especially Mathijs, I don’t do that to customers.
We’re fairly confident you’ll have the Aerosoft CRJ in your hands by the time the weekend comes around. After that, expect to see VATSIM light up with those jets.
