In a post on their closed Facebook group, the developers behind Ultra Weather XP has announced a new ‘Pro’ version of the weather add-on. According to Abdullah Almuntassir of Ultra Weather XP, they have bypassed the limitations of X-Plane and have made it to no longer have a circle of clouds around you in the simulator.
The ‘Pro’ version of Ultra Weather 2.5.1 includes this, whereas the free updated version doesn’t, but will contain additional fixes as part of the 2.5.1 update. By free, it’s meant a free update for existing users. From what we can gather, the Pro version will contain all of the fixes, along with some private features. These exact features will be shared in the future upon release. Ultra Weather Pro v2.5.1 will be released once version 2.5.1 is out of the door.
The Pro version, upon release, will cost $10 for existing users. If you don’t own Ultra Weather XP, you can purchase it from X-Plane.org for $35.00.
Finally, it’s been confirmed that this will be the last major update for Ultra Weather XP v2 until either X-Plane 12 or Ultra Weather 3.
