UK2000 Scenery has released Gary Airport (KGYY) for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The newly released airport product from the UK team is a rendition of “Chicago’s third airport.”
In 2013 passenger services terminated to Gary Airport, but there is still plenty of flying to and from the airport from corporate jets. Due to its location to downtown Chicago, the airport sees plenty of charter flights and also cargo operations. The airport itself has 2 main runways that are up to 8,900ft long.
Gary Airport from UK2000 Scenery includes realistic ground markings, highly detailed airport vehicles, accurate signage and a range of airport buildings. In addition, there are static GA aircraft, internal modelling details and animated flags. UK2000 Scenery says that even with the details, the airport is still ‘excellent’ on frame rates.
