The small island off of the coast of the UK, Jersey, will soon see its airport recreated for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The airport features a short 5,597ft runway that primarily sees domestic travel to parts of the UK. However, some seasonal charters to Malaga, Palma, Tenerife and Dusseldorf also take place from airlines such as British Airways, Volotea and Eurowings.
UK2000 Scenery didn’t describe in too much detail what the airport product will bring but did share a large number of previews over on Facebook. The preview depicts a custom-designed airport, complete with static GA aircraft, interior modelling and custom ground texturing. Furthermore, there are also 3D human models, numerous bits of airport clutter and dynamic night lighting.
The team said that the airport is due to enter beta testing very soon and will be released in the next 1-2 weeks. We’ll keep our eyes peeled and let you know when we learn more.
